Since it appears to be for benevolent purposes, i.e. protection from terrorist, do you have any issue with what they are doing, Eric?

Government Intrusion Empty Insomuch as the Constitution...

Post by ericlawmd Mon Apr 09, 2012 4:20 pm

...specifically and without ambiguity limits the power of the government to search or seize our private property without due cause and a warrant, I am against this type of intrussion no matter its apparent intent.

As to the telecommunications industries' complicitness in this scheme: this is just another example of the American people's lack of interest in anything that cannot be expressed on a 10 second soundbyte (and even then we forget within six months).

We should be protesting these intrussive actions in every forum available to us and making our displeasure known in the voting boothes.

To gain protection, you must lose liberties. It's up for you to deside how much protection you want, and how many liberties your willing to lose for that protection. Jeremy's response that I posted above this shows a little of what I'm saying.
