just finished code orange sermon from Matt Chandler and thought it was phenomenal. Since I know it was very influential to those who shared it with me I thought I would share one of the most influential sermons I've been privileged to hear. I pray the Father would use it according to the glory of His name:

"It is impossible to have an encounter with something as large as a logging truck and not be changed." This is powerful sermon. It is the answer to the question of lazy Christianity that is leveled against the reformed camp.

Exactly! I had a discussion with my parents this weekend, and that very idea came up. They argued that reformed theology lends itself to lazy, slacker Christians who are smug and self-satisfied in their sanctification process. Not that I have this all figured out, mind you.

The perceived "lack of need for evangelism" was probably my number one problem with Reformed theology upon examination. Frankly this was remedied for me in a practical manor long before a theological understanding came to me. Simply put, I met tons of reformed guys and gals who were just really busy doing Kingdom work. The theological understanding came later.

This was literally the MOST catalytic message I have heard personally. In other words I was at this event and the Lord used this message as the turning point of my life that determined a new course (missions and passion for Jesus to be exalted among the nations) that has eventually led to where I am now.
